Before starting the first class in school (Class VI), how important is it to have an orientation or discussion with students about the purpose of life, and how do you perceive its necessity?

A n s w e r -

Children at that age might not understand the deeper meaning of the purpose of life. Therefore, it is essential to provide them with a general idea about it. If this concept is introduced at their subconscious stage, it will later develop into a mature understanding that helps in shaping their careers. It will assist them in selecting their life goals.

Does co-curricular activity strengthen the bond between a student and teacher? How?

Q u e s t i o n -

How does a school (teachers) help a student become a good human being alongside academics?

A n s w e r -

Mutual responsibility is a key element in building relationships. Simply memorizing textbooks cannot make someone a good person. Moral education, practical education, the ability to recognize social responsibilities, and learning to help one’s family, society, and country are essential in shaping a good person. A responsible teacher can play the role of a craftsman in this process.

How important is the coordination between parents, teachers, and students when selecting subjects in Class XI?

A n s w e r -

Coordination among students, parents, and teachers is crucial when choosing a subject or stream. Guidance from teachers can also be taken if needed. It's important to carefully consider the subjects in which students have an interest. On the other hand, parents and schoolteachers can help determine if the chosen subjects align with the student’s abilities and talents.

Q u e s t i o n -

What advice would you give to students and parents to avoid excessive pressure (such as securing a joint seat or getting into a good college)?

A n s w e r -

Putting excessive pressure on students often backfires. Instead of focusing on chasing positions based on one or two marks, emphasis should be placed on a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. The most important thing is to instill confidence in students.

Q u e s t i o n -

As a school principal, how do you encourage your colleagues to pay attention to the mental health of students?

A n s w e r -

Physical and mental health are interdependent. Just as parents and teachers should be vigilant about students’ physical well-being, equal importance should be given to their mental health. It is important to remember, "Prevention is better than cure." Teachers should aim to be a “Friend, Philosopher, and Guide” for their students.

 Q u e s t i o n -

How important is it to make students understand that failure leads to success?

 A n s w e r -

As the saying goes, “Failure is the pillar of success.” Behind every success, there is a story of failure. If students fail or face setbacks, they should not be disheartened. Instead, they should identify the reasons for their failure, correct them, and try again. However, success is also achievable without failure if there is persistent effort.

Q u e s t i o n -

How can the lesson of being an honest student and a future honest citizen be imparted not just on paper but through real-life examples?

A n s w e r -

Beyond the conventional curriculum, students need moral education that sets them apart from being robotic humans. Instilling values of humanity and social responsibility builds students into honest and responsible citizens.
