You are the “Rebel,” weary from the fight,
Kazi Nazrul, blazing meteor bright.
“Jhinge Phul,” “Bisher Banshi,” “Lichu Chor”
A soul like yours, so pure, we find no more. Hindu and Muslim, “Two Flowers on One Stem,”
You fought like a Torpedo, fierce against the realm.
“Khandu Dadu,” “Kathberali,” songs of devotion too,
You broke the “Iron Gates” a hero brave and true. Bold and untamed, you raised your voice,
Against oppression, you made your choice.
You knew to yield before injustice was wrong,
So you fought to make the weak grow strong. Still we seek and honour you, beautiful Rebel bright,
Your spirit fills protesting hearts with courage and light.
We bow to that great soul, our pioneer and guide,
Remembering you, we find the path with pride.
