Speech Writing

Kashikanta, dear Kashikanta,
Is my thinking just a banter?
Tell me, don’t you have the time?
Busy every day and night’s the prime?
You sleep by day, awake till dawn,
Is this how your work goes on?
What kind of task keeps you awake?
All through the night, not a single break.
I see a light that’s always bright,
You’re all alone and up at night.
Your hands and feet throw quite a show,
Reading lines that seem to flow.
Pages upon pages, stacked so high,
Straining your mind until you sigh.
What’s that you read, day and night,
Like you’re a leader in full flight?
But you’re no leader, isn’t that true?
Or are you writing speeches too?
Well guessed, dear Mahesh Bhai,
Your wits are sharp, that’s no lie.
A leader’s time is tight, you see,
They can’t pop words out as free as me.
They take my speeches, loud and grand,
Read them boldly, just as planned.
If crowds get mad, and chaos reigns,
I step aside with no restrains.
When leaders fall into a trap,
I sit back with a hearty clap!
