Come, let’s go together
to the land of all that’s found,
We’ll ride the peacock-feathers,
floating along the sound,
With hands full,
we’ll pick up the seeds of wishful flowers,
We’ll arrange our dreams,
no one will stop us for hours,
Touching the rainbow,
I’ll go to the moon’s home,
Becoming a sliver of moonlight,
I’ll feel everyone’s touch as my own,
In the shade of the trees,
books will be spread out,
I’ll read all the chapters,
where caste and creed don’t shout,
Come, everyone, let’s laugh,
let’s play some games,
Let’s keep the joy of childhood alive,
free from any blame,
In the endless cycle of easy lessons,
with lively chatter,
The sound of the train reminds Apu,
lost in thought, ever after.
