People rush on, society's race,
In name alone, humanity’s trace,
Today, fewer are human, in this place.
People forget customs and norms,
Forget religious forms and storms,
Rushing along in their own arms.
They’re rushing without a clue,
Swallowing poison, thinking it’s true,
Mistaking the bitter for honeyed dew.
Drowning in corruption’s grip,
Love for homeland starts to slip,
Principles fade, integrity’s nip.
Ministers stride, leaders, too,
Behind businessmen, buyers pursue,
Selling lives like a market view.
Buying those unworthy to hold,
Falling into traps, sins unfold,
The soul cries out, the story told.
Those who weep are human, too,
Money's lantern guides them through,
In front, its glow, they chase and rue.
People rush, lose their grace,
Dignity fades, sanity's trace,
When will humanity find its place?
